It was almost dark outside as Atima opened her eyes again and found herself at the gates of the park, where she had been attacked at lunchtime. Next to her were Kaiko and Raiga, both brushing of some kind of dust from their clothes. Kaiko turned than to her and held out her handbag.
“I found this a few minutes ago. It’s yours right?” Atima thanked him and happily retrieved her bag with her belongings. The first thing she did was to pull out her mobile phone. The battery was almost dead but she still could see the present time.
“Oh dam it’s almost 9 pm! I need to get home.” She swung her bag over her shoulder and started to run, but stopped as Kaiko once yelled out her name from quite far behind. Frowning she turned and saw both of the boys, surrounded by a group of young ladies. All of them were fully styled and it looked like they were on their way to the local Club to party all night. Amused at the sight Atima slowly made her way to the group. Raiga and Kaiko did not seem happy themselves about the sudden attention, but that didn’t keep the girls from flirting with them.
“Say, do you two boys want to go to a party with us?” Atima could see that one of the girls was very fond of Raiga, trying to make him go out with her. Atima made her way through the girls group and held her hand out.
“Come on you two.” She gave her friends a smile and Kaiko thankfully took her hand. She led him away from the group, Raiga following them closely.
“Why on earth did you both use a spell to make yourself visible for humans?” Whispering to them she kept walking.
“We thought it would be better for you.” Kaiko replied, in his voice Atima could hear that he had noticed, it wasn’t the best idea he had had. He mumbled and apology.
“I’m not mad at you, but now we have to think of a plan to get you into my house, without my parents freaking out or getting worried about me.” They had stopped to discuss further plans. Raiga looked at Atima.
“Do you have an Idea how we could do that?”
“I’ll tell them, you two want to stay a while, due to whatever reason and that you are gay.” Both of the boys stared at Atima in perplexity. “What? At least they won’t be worried about me than.” The tree of them looked at each other and busted out in laughter.

After a while they noticed they were being watched and looked around. A small bunch of the girls from beforehand, had caught up with them and were now glaring at Atima.
“Say blondie, what gives you the idea you can steal my date?” She pointed at Raiga who stared back at the girl in astonishment. The girl walked towards Raiga and put her arms around his neck.
“Just come with me and leave that plain and ugly girl alone, handsome boy.” She started to play with his long hair while sending a smirk to Atima, whose head was now red. A part of her was now in anger, the other in emabarrassment. Kaiko placed his hands on her shoulders, in hope it would calm her down. Raiga grunted and freed himself from the woman.
“I’m not into women like you.” He said while walking over to Atima and Kaiko. There he grabbed Atimas wrist and pulled her close to his chest. Grinning at the girl, he kept talking. “I’m more into girls like this.” To make his statement more clearly, he gave Atima a kiss on her cheek. All the girls watching, let out a gasp, while Atima was frozen in his arms, her face in a bright red. The girl noticed her defeat and then turned her face to Kaiko. He on the other hand, didn’t even give her time to say anything.
“I don’t go out with girls, who insults my sister.” Like a big brother he laid his hands once more on Atimas shoulders. Then Raiga and Kaiko turned around and left the park with Atima in between them.

A short time later the three stood in front of the Goodwin mansion. Atima opened the door and let the two boys in. They hadn’t talked since the incident in the park. Atima was mad at Raiga for kissing her and Raiga was sulking.
Putting her bag on a commode, Atima called out for her parents.
“Mom? Dad? We have visitors.” She gave the boys a warning glare before her mother and father entered the lobby.
“Oh, who are you two?” Atima’s mother, Lucy, eyed the two visitors from top to bottom. Atima hoped her mother wouldn’t get the wrong idea, since she brought two men home. Kaiko held out his right hand and introduced himself.
“My name is Kaiko and this is Raiga. Your daughter Atima is a friend of ours and kindly invited us to stay for a few days.”
“She did?” Roman, Atimas father, was rather surprised as he heard this. “Well than, make yourself at home, I suppose.” He looked at his wife. “I think we need to make some more food for these young men then, don’t you think?” Lucy gave him and the boys a gentle smile.
“Yes, I would say we do. I’ll make something quickly and then we can talk a bit more.” Together with her husband Lucy made her way into the kitchen, while Atima showed Kaiko and Raiga the guest room.
“Here you go. We’ll need to get another mattress out so both of you can ‘sleep’ here, but here is enough room.” Raiga and Kaiko gazed at the large room. There was enough space for at least six people in there. The furniture was simple but nicely picked out and matched everything.
“Atima, you never told us your parents had this much money. I mean look at this room, look at this house!” Raiga turned to Atima. “So why on earth do you need that little part-time job in the bookstore?” Atima shrugged and sat down on the guest bed.
“I love my parents but I don’t want to rely on them. I just don’t like asking them for money. And how come you only notice this now Raiga? You have been here tonnes of times!”
“Maybe…I just didn’t want to notice it?” Raiga playfully stuck out his tongue only to get hit by a pillow, which Atima threw at him.
“Would you be able to show me your room Atima?” Kaiko suggested than. “I never actually was here, so this is all new to me.”
“Oh sure, right this way.” Atima led Kaiko to her room on the second floor. Curiously he looked around and let his eyes wander over every inch of the room.
“It’s so different. It’s really not decorated the same way as our place.” He turned around and faced Atima. “I think I get the feeling, now I know why you don’t really like our place…Just looking at the decoration skills.”
“Oh shut it.”

Shortly after that Atimas mother called them down to eat. It was a plain meal, spaghetti with tomato sauce, but both Raiga and Kaiko enjoyed it, since they normally don’t even have to eat. During the meal Atimas parents tried to find out more of the two boys. Both of them stayed with the plan more or less, and said they had some difficulties in their old apartment and needed a place to stay for a few days. Atimas father invited them to stay as long as they needed to, since he and his wife would have to go on another business trip in a few days.
The two boys even helped doing the dishes before the tree of them made their ways up into the bedrooms. Atima let both of the boys take a shower while she prepared herself for bed.
She was tired. Even if she had been unconscious about half the day, the entire stir today exhausted her body and mind. Tucking herself under the blanket she turned off the light and wanted to sleep, yet only a few minutes later, her half sleep was disturbed by someone whispering her name.
“Atima, are you really already asleep?” Opening her eyes she notices Raiga kneeling next to her bed. His usually tied up hair now open and some strands falling over his shoulder. He had taken of his brown vest and the shirt he wore was only half buttoned.
“What do you want? I’m tired, so let me sleep.” Annoyed she turned herself to the other side of the bed, away from his gaze. But Raiga didn’t want to let her sleep just yet. Atima heard him stand up and felt as he sat on the edge of her bed.
“Are you mad at me?”, he asked through the darkness.
“Maybe I am.”
“Then tell me why.” Atima sat up and glared at the man sitting on her bed.
“You kissed me, why shouldn’t I be mad.” Raiga raised an eyebrow.
“Was that so bad?” he laughed a bit. “I thought it had the right effect on that girl.”
“That’s still no reason to just kiss me”
“At least admit you liked it.”
“I do not like it when you kiss me.” Raiga signed defeated.
“Okay, I won’t kiss you again without asking for permission first.”
“Good, now get off of my bed, I want to sleep.” Without arguing he got off the bed and sat down on the floor.
“I’m staying here for the night and make sure nothing will happen to you. Kaiko is outside, patrolling the neighbourhood.” Atima didn’t respond, she just tucked herself back under the sheets and closed her eyes.
After a few minutes Raiga could hear her breathing steadily. Smiling he stood up again and bent over Atimas face. Knowing she was fully asleep, he brushed some hair out of her face and kissed her cheek for the second time today.
“You know I really did want to kiss you back then.” Making himself confortable on the floor again he said that more or less to himself. “Good night Atima, sleep well.”
